We can move us free around the city by bicycle, but, in order to achieve all our objectives with the cooperation of the local people, knowing some words and expression will be so useful, and we can increase them during our stay.

Here you have a very basic dictionary with some words and expressions which will help us to move around Barcelona:

Bon dia = Good morning

Bona tarda = Good afternoon

Bona nit = Good night

Si us plau = Please

Com et dius? = What is your name?

Encantat/encantada d’haver-te conegut = Nice to meet you

Bon profit! = Enjoy your meal! (You should say it with joy)

Gràcies = Thank you

Moltes gràcies = Thank you very much

De res = You are welcome

On és el lavabo? = Where is the toilette?

Esmorzar = Breakfast

Dinar = Lunch

Berenar = Have a snack

Sopar = Dinner

El compte = The bill

(Which is not…)

Compte! = Take care!

Déu-n’hi-do= (this expression can be use in a lot of situations, it depends of the tone of voice, but we will translate it as…) My goodness

 

And finally… A reveure! = See you later!
